A cast copper-alloy fragment of a late post-medieval double looped trapezoidal buckle. The fragment consists of one of the large trefoil lobed knops on the wide end of the frame and strap bar towards the broken end. The wide end appears to have two notches of decoration between the large knops but no other decoration, the reverse is completely undecorated. The breaks appear to be unworn, the strap bar is only attached at one end. The buckle dates to 1620-1680 see: Whitehead, ‘Buckles 1250-1800’, p84 no.526.
