Early Neolithic flint blade. The blade is trapezoidal in shape and in cross-section. 2 flakes have been knapped from one face, one on each side. One edge of the tool has been worked to give it a serrated edge. The tool has broken and so is incomplete- it would have been longer when it was made.

Late Mesolithic/ Neolithic flint blade or side scraper, measuring 39x16.3x5.4mm and weighing 3.48g. The right and left dorsal edges have small but repetitive workings along their length, with additional but lighter working on the ventral edges. The flint is heavily patinated with 5% cortex on the upper right dorsal edge and next to this, at the distal end, a break revealing the dark/ black flint underneath. The patination is c.1mm thick.

Probably Neolithic possible blade, measuring 40.7x17.3x5.4mm and weighing 3.91g. The distal edge is the widest part and has been worked thin with a little retouch. The right and left edges extend outwards to meet either end of this edge and have been abruptly worked on both dorsal and ventral faces. There is no retouch. The flint is c.90% patinated with a small patch of iron staining. Retouch shows a dark grey flint beneath.

Incomplete Mesolithic or Neolithic flint flake, snapped transversly in two places. It measures 19.4x15.8x4.8mm and weighs 1.81g. There is some chipping to the right dorsal and left ventral edge although this seems to be from wear. The flint is a translucent brown in colour with a darker stripe through the centre. It has virtually no patination. The flake may well have been intended for use as a blade.

Relatively large flint blade of probable later Mesolithic date (6500BC - 3500BC). The flint tool is sub-rectangular in plan and broadly sub-triangular in cross section. The bulb of percussion is complete and there is evidence of retouch / reworking to both the long sides of the blade. These are most concentrated in the upper right edge. A small area of cortex is also present on blade; this suggests that the flake was produced during the earlier life of the core as this material had not yet been removed.
