A slightly worn and patinated Post-Medieval pewter/lead-alloy token, dating AD 1575-1600. North 1991, pg140, No. 2062. Measurements: Diameter: 20.51mmThickness: 1.1mm, Weight: 3.21g, Discussion: According to North (1991, 140), it is likely that rather than being used as tokens, these objects were probably used as political medalets or counters (North 1991, 140). Despite not being a coin this token type has been designated as no. 2062 by North (1991, 140).

Post-medieval silver halfgroat of the Commonwealth (AD 1649-1660), minted at London, AD 1649-1660, North 2728. Pierced with four sub-circular holes grouped around the centre. The holes are not lined up and three have been made form the obverse and one from the reverse. While the arrangement could suggest a button the choice of coin to be modified suggests a political message, either by wearing the coin or deliberately defacing it.
