A copper alloy post-medieval to modern 'conder' token. The token depicts a druid's head on one side and a script cypher of RNG on the reverse. It was issued in by the Paris Mine Company on Anglesey, North Wales in 1793. The edge of the token would have carried the inscription 'Payable in London, Bristol & Lancaster', but the edge is now too worn to make this out. Post-medieval or early modern trader's token or, possibly, a coin. The object is very worn and only very few letters can be made out on the obverse and reverse: Obverse inscription: [...]LEY[...] Reverse inscription: [...]OTRANE[...] The token/jetton is very thin and it is most likely that it is a local company's or conder token. However, due to its poor state, identification is, for the time being, impossible.
