Each face has an irregular oval panel (16.2mm x 4.3mm, 13.5mm x 4.4mm), which has been formed by hammering the strip. Further hammering on each end of the panels, has resulted in the thinning of the strip and has also caused the strip to widen at these points. The strip may have been deliberately thinned at the ends to facilitate cutting.
