An incomplete Medieval mount or buckle plate, dating to c AD 1400 - 1700. The find is missing a loop or similar for attachment. The mount has a degree of wear and patination, and is decorated but the pattern is unclear. It is rectangular,  with straight attachment edge, rivet hole in each corner, slightly rounded at the outer edge where there is a crescentic break in the centre. The underside is undecorated. Dimensions: 31.8mm in length;  21.1mm in width; 1.6mm thick; 3.92g in weight

The upper surface has a bulbous raised area at the top of the 'triangle' which gradually flattens out towards the opposite end. An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy crotal bell, dating to c. AD 1500-1700. Part of the top of the suspension loop is missing due to an old break, with only the two lugs and part of the crossbar remaining. The upper and lower hemisphere of the bell is divided by a prominent rib.
