A post medieval silver halfcrown of Charles I (1625-49), Fifth horseman (North 2215), initial mark: sun dating to 1645-6, mint: Tower under Parliament. Ref: North 1991: p.159.
The coin is very worn on both obverse and reverse, the fan irregular in shape, its weight suggesting that it has been heavily clipped. The coin is also doublestruck seen mostly in misalignment of the inner circle and breaks in the inscrptions.
