An incomplete copper hammered probable coin dating to the Post Medieval period, about 1597-1663: probably a Scottish twopence, or 'turner' of James VI (1567-1625), Charles I (1625-1649), or Charles II (1649-1685), and most likely one of the 1642, 1644, 1648 or 1650 issues of Charles I. However, it is only the size and form of the coin which suggests such an identification; it is illegible. It is bent and has a section missing; as such the object has a length of 19.04mm (the diameter of the coin), a width of 11.95mm, and a thickness of 7.42mm (the thickness of the flan…
