A copper alloy Roman sestertius of Postumus dating to AD 260-269 (Reece period 13). Obscured reverse, although based on the obverse bust type it may have been a [VICTORIA AVG] type depicting Victory advancing left. Mint of Lugdunum.
The reverse has the corroded remains of a second, smaller, copper alloy coin (c. 26mm in diameter) fused to it, suggesting that the coin may have been deposited or lost as part of a small group in a container such as a purse or bag. Cf. RIC V Postumus 172.
