An incomplete Medieval mount or buckle plate, dating to c AD 1400 - 1700. The find is missing a loop or similar for attachment. The mount has a degree of wear and patination, and is decorated but the pattern is unclear. It is rectangular,  with straight attachment edge, rivet hole in each corner, slightly rounded at the outer edge where there is a crescentic break in the centre. The underside is undecorated. Dimensions: 31.8mm in length;  21.1mm in width; 1.6mm thick; 3.92g in weight

An incomplete cruciform mount of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1500). The mount is cruciform in shape, with an incomplete rectangular attachment lug at the reverse. The front is flat. with lozenge shaped terminals.  It has a length of 19.6 mm, it is 19.6 mm wide and 5.7 mm thick. It weighs 1.81 g. The mount is a mid green colour, with an even surface patina.

A gilded cast copper alloy decorative strap mount of post medieval date. The mount is broadly in the baroque style (see Maslin 2021) taking the form of an arrow, with a convex oval plate having, at one end, a small cherub / putti head flanked by triangular wings and, at the narrower end, a fleur-de-lys terminal.

An incomplete Late Saxon copper-alloy mount dating to the early medieval period, c. AD 1000-1100. The mount is a tapering flat-sectioned bar, with a central break. The remaining central bar has parallel sides, two lobes protrude from the bar followed by two straight edges that taper inwards towards the terminal. A Roman cast copper alloy lunular or crescent shaped strap mount dating to the 2nd century AD. The plate has a raised rim around a central field which contains off-white traces of enamel inlay. From the centre of the convex edge project a bifurcating pair of small pointed projections. The reverse is flat with a large integrally cast attachment rivet.

An incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy decorative leather strap mount in the form of an acorn, depicted with stalk and flanking leaves (one leaf has broken off). Moulded details such as the veins on the leaves and cross hatching on the acorn cup are faintly visible. The reverse is concave with a pair of integrally cast hooked attachment rivets which are curled over.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy mount, probably of 17th century date. The mount consists of an acorn shaped plate with two pointed integral lugs on the reverse. The mount is slightly convex, (concave at the back) with moulded ridges to suggest the edge of the cupule. The stalk of the acorn bends sharply to one side at a right angle to indicate that it is slipped.

A complete probable Roman copper alloy mount, probably dating to c. AD 43-410. The mount is of symmetrical and ovate shape. It has an outer raised border and then an identically shaped inner raised ridge, resembling, whether intentionally or not, an eye. The plate is flat, and on the rear are two rivets, one with a head, one without. A broken terminal from a medieval mount, probably from a harness fitting (e.g. SUR-93D2FC). The fragment comprises a rounded attachment loop, decorated with small flaring projections at its base and a subrectangular collar behind. This collar is decorated with cross hatched lines and on the opposing end to the loop has an old break to a projecting arm with a trapezoidal cross section. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated.
