A complete cast copper alloy Medieval annular buckle dating to c.1250-1450. The frame is circular and undecorated, and has a circular cross section. The pin is rounded rectangular in cross section tapering to a point with a closed penannular loop at the other end where it is attached to the frame. There is a worn rectangular raised ridge, or grip on the upper surface of the pin below the loop.There is no pin constriction which suggests it is a buckle, not an annular brooch. A fragment of a Post Medieval copper alloy double loop buckle, c.AD 1550-1650. This is a fragment of one of the loop's frame. The obverse face is plain and has bevelled edges, while the reverse face is plain and slightly hollowed. The frame has a long side arching down to one of the loop ends; the outside edge of this loop expands into a pointed knop, while the internal edge also slightly expands to create a kidney-shaped aperture. A fragment of a post medieval copper alloy double looped buckle dating from AD 1550 - 1650. Only the central bar survives. There is a knop at one end, and the stubs of both loops.  Length 12.5mm, width 37.2mm, thickness 3.0mm and weight 2.69g. Compare Whitehead (2003) number 375 on page 62.

An incomplete medieval cast copper alloy single loop buckle with its plate. The frame probably would have had a thickened and decorated front edge, however it has broken across both sides close to the bar which is recessed and offset and retains the plate which is wrapped around it. The plate is undecorated and tapers towards the rear end. A portion of the copper alloy pin is retained on the bar.

A copper alloy probable buckle fragment of Post Medieval date, c. AD 1550 - 1650. The object is only a fragment and consists of the centre part of the outer edge frame. It is pointed oval in cross section. It is decorated with a sub-triangular moulding, containing a raised lozenge shape and two annulets. A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy buckle, c.AD 1620-1680. This buckle is of a double loop, trapezoidal design, with pointed lobes at either end of the strap bar. The outer edges are pointed and the outside edge of the buckle is bevelled. The pin is intact. There is no evidence of decoration. The buckle is worn and has a dark brown patina. Length: 42 mm; Width: 22 mm; Thickness: 6.5 mm; Weight: 6.9 g.

An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy buckle, c.AD 1250-1350. This buckle is incomplete as it is missing its pin. The buckle is of oval form, slightly asymmetrical, with an offset and narrowed pin bar that has mouldings at both ends. The frame is rounded externally on its upper surface and broadly flat on the lower with some rounding at the edges. The outer edge is slightly expanded both in width and thickness. The buckle has a light-green/brown patina. Similar example, see HAMP-06D456.
