An incomplete Post Medieval silver penny of uncertain ruler, type, or mint, c.AD 1640-1690. This coin has been worn too heavily on the obverse to be identified and is slightly clipped around the edges. A single, round hole has been punched through from the obverse to the reverse face, possibly to remove it from circulation. The reverse design is still slightly visible, showing the rounded and floral shield of Charles I-II.

Tin and copper alloy coin. Probably a plugged tin farthing of Charless II (1685-1688), very worn and abraded; issue of 1684. At first sight, no discernible detail remained on either side of a battered flan, save for the plug itself. The processing of images has thrown a bust facing left into view, which may uphold this identification. Diameter: 23.1mm, Weight: 5.29gms
