An incomplete medieval silver short-cross penny of John (AD 1199-1216), class 5b1/5a mule dating to AD 1205. Moneyer Iohan, mint of Winchester. As North no. 970. (North 1994: pp221).  The coin has been bent in half and slightly unbent, resulting in a hairline crack down the central line.
