A silver Russian kopek, of an uncertain ruler dating to the period AD 1500 - 1750. Uncertain reverse. Mint uncertain. The obverse depicts a horse and rider, the reverse has four to five lines of cyrillic. The coin is an oval shape, and has been pieced from the obverse to the reverse.  These coins were struck on a short length of silver wire cut to weight, hence they are often called "wire money". An incomplete post-medieval silver Russian wire kopek or Denga (half kopek), probably struck in the name of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov (1613-45), mint: Moscow.  The oval flan, made fro strips of wire, is typical for coins of this issue.  Measurements: diameter: 12.1mm; thickness: 0.58; weight: 0.39 grams.

Post Medieval silver Russian coin, possibly a kopek, of an uncertain ruler dating to the period AD 1550-1750. Uncertain reverse. Mint uncertain. The obverse appears to show two or three lines of writing, and the reverse might be part of a horse and rider.  These coins were struck on a short length of silver wire cut to weight, hence they are often called "wire money". It measures 10.76mm in diameter at its widest point, reducing to 8.86mm, 0.79mm in thickness and weighs 0.37g.
