Post-medieval copper alloy probable pipe tamper. Flat end has a central hole, with 14 inscribed lines radiating from it. This joins a stem with a circular cross-section of variable diameter, expanding into a disc-shaped collar, followed immediately by a spherical collar and another disc-shaped one framing it. There are three more disc-shaped collars further along the stem, arranged as a pair then a single collar. The stem tapers to a slightly rounded end with a suspension hole near its tip. A complete lead Token of Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1850). The object is sub-circular in plan and flat in section. On the obverse of the object is a raised motif in the form of linear and curvilinear designs, the initial A is also visible. The obverse has initials: Y/V. Robertson 2000, 22 no. 112 : ""In 1884 the present street plan was laid out on the site of the [Roman] fort. In 1895 the land within the south-east angle was cleared of older buildings and a well lined with masonry was found. It was examined by Mr. W.S. Corder but produced little except pottery, bones and leather fragments. A hoard of fourteen denarii was found nearby during the clearance. A complete lead spindle whorl dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1200 to 1500. The object is circular in plan with a diameter of 24.66mm. There is a hole in the centre which in turn has a diameter of 9.70 mm. The spindle whorl is biconvex in section. Both faces of the spindle whorl are decorated with raised pellets but due to wear the arrangement is unclear.

A silver sixpence of James I dating to the period AD 1603 to 1604. The obverse depicts a crowned bust right. The legend reads IACOBVS DG ANG SCO FR...REX. The initial mark is a Bell. The reverse depicts a crowned harp suggesting the coin is Irish. The legend readsTVEATVR VNITA DEVS which means May God guard these United (Kingdoms). A similar example is recorded in 'Coincraft's standard catalogue of the coins of Scotland, Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man' on page 203.
