Description: Fragment from a Medieval silver gilt finger ring, c. 1100-1250 AD. The artefact consists of a square-shaped bezel with a roughly incised square border on the obverse and incised cross pattée within. Extending from either side of the bezel are two shoulders with incised transverse grooves decorating the obverse. The reverse is undecorated. An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of Medieval date, c. 1250-1500. The buckle is D-shaped, with a thickened and slightly angled outer frame with an offset crossbar. The crossbar is broken, with the remaining length hooked back. The pin is missing.

A cast lead-alloy seal matrix of the Medieval period, c. 1200-1500. The seal matrix is a flat, pointed oval in shape with a single lug emerging out from the reverse of the seal matrix at one tip. The face is decorated with a fleur-de-lis in the centre, with thin stalk bearing a trefoil head emerging at an angle in each upper quarter of the fleur-de-lis. 4 sherds of ceramic vessels of late Roman date, c. 350-410. Three of the sherds are of a crumbly fabric with large calcite inclusions, identifying it as East Yorkshire calcite-gritted ware. One is a body sherd, and two are rim sherds; one rim sherds is extremely everted with a lid seating internally, suggesting a Huntcliff-type form. The fourth sherd is a base sherd of a greyware bowl, probably of teh Crambec industry.
