Cut halfpenny of Henry III class 3b minted at Ilchester by Huge, dating 1249. The obverse has the bust of the king facing with the legend [hENRI]CVS REX [III]. On the reverse there is a voided short cross with 3 pellets in each quarter. The moneyers name is not present but the legend positioning points to Huge, Ilchester is in full.The legend would read [HVG/EON/]IVE/LE[C]. Diameter: 17.09mm; weight: 0.7g
