1695-1701. Silver alloy, minted, probable William III shilling, counter marked by a local trader or shop keeper for use as a private trading token or for advertising purposes. Length 25.7mm, Width 25.6mm, Thickness 0.9mm, Diameter 25.7mm, Weight 3.4g. This coin exhibits extreme wear with very few details visible but then overstamped with an initial 'S'. Ref. A worn early 14th-century silver medieval penny of either Edward I or II, London mint (c. 1300 - c. 1310 AD; probably Class 10). The flan has not been trimmed to the external border on just over half of the coin. There has been a slight loss on the inner pelleted border below the 'E' and 'D' on the obverse face; the reverse cross can be seen on the obverse on this thin coin.

German Denar (Pfennig) of Cologne, struck under Archbishop Konrad von Hochstaden (1238-61) as 'Elekt' (1238-9); mint Soerst normally spelt Soest, (in Westphalia, east of Dortmund). Note he is depicted bare-headed; his coins as 'Minister' (1239-44) and Archbishop (1244-61) show him wearing a mitre.
