A fragment of a post medieval silver spoon now severely distorted by heat, probably in a fire. Elements of cast scrolling decoration survive on the lower side of the bowl adjacent to the distorted handle. Damage makes this object impossible to date.

A very worn and clipped possible silver coin of uncertain date and ruler. The coin has extensive wear on both obverse and reverse faces but both depict stylised raised designs that bear similarity to the imagery depicted on Iron Age silver units and gold staters. The obverse is unclear, whilst the reverse possibly depicts a branch, or sheaf of grain.

A very worn and clipped possible silver coin or possible token of uncertain date, ruler and mint. The reverse of this possible coin depicts a long cross pattee, though this appears different in form to those represented on Medieval pennies and might suggest a later date.

Broad period: UNKNOWN
County: Buckinghamshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
An unmarked disc of white metal, possibly silver, 0.85g, 10.8mm in diameter and 1.5mm thick. The size and weight are broadly consistent with an identification as an unstruck coin blank or a small ingot; however the form and weight are not diagnostic as to date. One surface is smooth and unmarked, the other has fracture or fold lines suggesting that the object may have been folded over from flat sheet metal and then hammered. There is some damage and loss to one edge.
