A silver penny of Edward I dating to the period AD1294-1299. Long cross reverse with three pellets in each quarter. Mint unknown. Class 8. Withers (2005, 33). North Vol 2 (1991, 30). This penny appears to have been bent and broken rather than cut, there is a clear bend, the break is uneven and does not follow the long cross design.
