A small rectangular section of the flan is now missing due to damage or possible clipping. A fragment of a Medieval silver coin; a penny probably of Henry VI (AD 1422 - 1461), uncertain type, minted probably at Calais. The coin is very crumpled and only about half survives. All the edges are broken. The fragment is distorted and worn. It is 14.7mm in length, 9.1mm wide, 0.3mm thick and weighs 0.47g.
