An incomplete silver baby (comforter) consisting of a rattle and a whistle from the Victorian to Edwardian period (ad 1820 - 1910) The object is split along the join seam. Around the circumference of the object at it's centre are two banded ribs to which 3 bells would have been attached. Two of the 3 bells that were originally attached are missing, probably in antiquity. The remaining bell shows signs of damage. The surface is decorated with a mixture of floral and geometric incised lines.
