A fragment of a gold and silver medieval contemporary copy of a quarter ryal of Edward IV, first reign (1461-1470) dating from 1464-1470. Approximately 25% of the coin survives. The coin is gilded, but the interior of the coin shows through as being silver and not gold. The inscriptions are also incorrect. The coin is an attempt to copy North (1991: 86) no. 1554. 6.25mm thick, weight 1.04 g.
