A worn silver 10 Sols coin of king Louis XIV of France, AD 1643-1715. The obverse and obverse legend are completely illegible but would have shown a draped bust right and read [LVD.XIV.D.G. - FR.ET.NA.REX] with illegible date below bust. Reverse is unclear but shows one and a bit lis and two crowns. The reverse would originally have shown a crown at each cardinal point surrounding two lis above a single lis. Reverse legend is mostly illegible reading: [DOMINE.SALVVM.F]AC.RE[GEM.] with unclear exergue control or mint mark.

A post-medieval silver 10 sol piece of Louis XIV of France, dating to the period AD 1643-1715. The coin is complete but very worn and has been bent twice so is probably a love token. [LVD XIIII] D G FR ET N[AV REX] obverse depicting a laureate and draped head bust of Louis XIV facing right. [DOMINE SALVVM] FAC REGEM [mint mark] reverse depicting a crown above sceptres in saltire, hand of justice and three fleur-de-lis (all that is visible are two of the fleur-de-lis). The mint mark and date are illegible.
