A post-Medieval silver coin: a half groat of Charles I (AD 1625-1649), group D, Tower mint under the crown, dating from AD 1645-1646, sun initial mark (though it appears to been superimposed on an eye initial mark). North (1975) Volume 2, number 2258 on page 137. The coin has a diameter of 16.36mm, is 1.42mm thick and weighs 1.0g. There is a crease across the centre.
