Post-medieval silver cufflink element, octagonal with down-turned sides and a slightly convex front engraved with a contour line and an elaborate quatrefoil. A D-shaped loop of silver wire is soldered or welded to the centre of the slightly concave reverse. The decoration is very similar to that of many other examples, cf. NMS-A017A6. Weight 1.29g. The abraded flat front is decorated with stamped ornament, comprising a border and a central motif. What survives is the flat centre, decorated in the middle with a crudely engraved hexagon, with very short lines radiating inwards from its concave edges. In the centre is a circle with even shorter, finer lines radiating outwards; the two sets of short lines do not meet.
