A silver rivet of Post-Medieval to Modern date. This rivet weighs 0.93g and has a total length of 6.6mm. The rivet head has a sub-circular shape, fairly flat reverse and domed external surface that has been decorated. The decoration was probably formed through the process of punch stamping or moulding. Some of the domed head is depressed leaving other areas appearing as if in relief. It is possible, if not probable, that this decoration is a small part of a larger area of decoration. Both the front and rear half of the body is domed, so when viewed in profile the body has an oval shape. An incomplete silver-gilt early Post-Medieval Class B, Type 3 (triangular) wire single blunt-hooked and eye clasp (Read, B. 2008). The surviving incomplete component is the eye part of the clasp, formed in two parts. The eye is formed of twisted wire (circular cross-section, diameter 1.0mm) folded in half with a rounded 'U' shaped centre (width 5.6mm), which acts as the eye's loop.
