TREASURE CASE : 2021 T343 An incomplete fragment probably from a silver annular zoomorphic brooch dating to the Medieval period (AD 1200 - AD 1500). The fragment consists of a zoomorphic head, which would have formed the end of the brooch frame, with a narrow bar protruding from its mouth, which would have acted as a constriction for a pin.  The bar terminates in an uneven break. A silver ring brooch. Treasure Case 2016 T225. A medieval silver annular brooch with a domed profile, engraved with geometric decoration. The frame is made of silver sheet metal. The pin survives, looped through a hole in the frame. The brooch dates to the 13th-14th century. Dimensions: Diam: 21mm. Length of pin: 16mm. In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
