A high quality contemporary copy of a late Roman nummus. This coin is copying an issue of Rome of 324-5. The obverse is for Constantine II, although the final E is incorrect. The bust type is one used for Constantine I; the reverse type PROVIDENTIAE AVGG is also for Constantine I (c.f. RIC VII, p. 325, no. 264). Copies for the period 317-330 are quite common, but are scarce for the camp-gate issues.'
