A holed copper-alloy nummus of Valens (AD 364-78), dating to AD 367-75 (Reece Period 19),. SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE. Victory advancing left holding wreath and palm. Mint of Siscia, RIC IX 15b, type xxxv (b); LRBC p. 73, no. 1427. The coin is in fair condition with a slightly patchy green and brown patina. It has been holed at about 9 o'clock from the obverse side, perhaps for use as a pendant or possibly for the purposes of votive dedication.
