A Roman copper-alloy nummus of Arcadius (AD 383-408), dating to c. AD 388-95 (Reece Period 21), of the SALVS REI PVBLICAE, Victory advancing left with trophy and captive. Possibly Mint of Nicomedia. This coin is problematic as there is no staurogram (barred-rho) to the left of Victory, the legend appears to be SAV[ ... ] and the style of Victory is slightly unusual. It is therefore quite likely to be a contemporary copy. The die axis of 3 o clock supports this. If the coin is official, LRBC p. 94, no. 2421 is the closest match; this might have been the prototype for a copy.

A Roman copper alloy nummus of the house of Theodosius, probably dating to c. AD 388-402 (Reece Period 21). Probably VICTORIA AVGGG reverse type, depicting victory advancing left with wreath and palm. Although relatively rare, in light the small size of the flan (c. 11mm) the above identificatuion is thought more likely than the relatively more common SECVRITAS REI PVBLICAE issue of Reece Period 18.

A Roman copper alloy nummus probably of the House of Theodius, dating to AD 388-402 (Reece Period 21). Probably VICTORIA AVGGG reverse type, depicting victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm. Uncertain mint. Despite the lack of inscription, the small size and weight of this coin would support its identification as a Theodosian coin, rather than the more common Valentinianic SECVRITAS REI PVBLICAE of Reece Period 19. Other coins of Reece period 21 have also been found in the vicinity of the findspot.
