A cast copper alloy probable brooch fragment of later Early Medieval - possibly Carolingian - date (AD 750 - 1000). The brooch is incomplete and its original size is unknown - what remains probably represents at least 50% of the original. The brooch is broadly rectangular in plan and D shaped in cross section. Incomplete gilt copper alloy ball-headed pin. The head is spherical and has six bosses, four arranged around the circumference (most of one missing) and one each at the top and bottom. The top and surviving side bosses each contain a dark blue glass pellet. The boss at the bottom houses the stump of the missing pin. Medieval gold stirrup-shaped finger ring, 13th century. The roughly rectangular setting in the bezel is hollow but would have contained a stone or glass paste. The flattened strip-like plain hoop is snapped at the back and was originally misshapen but has been straightened and the break overlapped by the finder.
