An Iron Age silver unit of the North Thames region / Catuvellauni, dating to the period c.60-20 BC, probably Hadham Heart Ear type. Obverse: Head right with corded(?) hair and large heart shaped ear, pointed nose. Reverse: Horse right with busy tail, pellet in ring below, three pellet in rings in front, unclear motifs above including a pellet in ring. This coin is probably as ABC, p. 125, no. 2475; BMC no. 380, although the reverse type above the horse is unclear and appears to differ from the published examples, perhaps a die variant or similar.

Obverse: Crossed wreaths with back to back crescents at centre(?), possible teardrop shaped motifs in each angle. Reverse: Horse leaping left, TASC[I] below. An uninscribed silver Iron Age unit of the North Thames region / Trinovantes, dating to the period c.60-20 BC, 'Duck Helmet' type. Obverse: Helmeted bust left, 'duckbill' and zoomorphic motif in front. Reverse: Annulate horse left with large ears, corn ear between legs flanked by annulet motifs, second corn ear above flanked by triskele, annulet, annulet-in-ring and uncertain zoomorphic motif to right. As ABC, p. 121, no. 2380.
Rudd lists the attribution of this coin to the Trinovantes as 'uncertain' and indeed it may be the case that this coin is related to other silver unit types…
