A complete silver teston of Henri II of France (AD 1547 - 1559) dating to AD 1553. The obverse depicts Henry II, laureate, facing right. The reverse depicts the crowned arms of France. The coin has been pierced through the ear of the bust on the obverse.

Silver teston of Henry II of France (1559). Obverse shows Henry the II of France bust facing right with the inscription: HENRICUS II (D)G FRANCOR REX (Henry II by the grace of God king of the French). The reverse shows a crowned shield of three fleurs de lis with a crowned 'H' to each side and the inscription: XPS VINCIT XPS RE(G)NAT XPS (IPRAT): Christ conquers, Christ rules, Christ commands. The coin is very out of round and the bust is badly worn.
