A silver cut halfpenny of Aethelred II (AD 978 - 1016). Crux type dated more specifically to between AD 991 - 997. Some damage has occurred resulting in a further 15% loss to the surviving half. The mint begins with an L (Lincoln or London) while the moneyer's name ends in -ulf, of which there are a number of possibilities.
