This coin is a hammered silver cut half penny of Henry II (1154-1189). The legend has a stop before the 'R' of REX which would suggest a class1b. The reverse has the probable moneyer name of Raul which is indicative of the mint being either London or Exeter. The coin is struck a little off centre with no evidence of clipping.

This means that the mint is one of London, Exeter, Wilton, Winchester or Worcester. the penny had been cut into its halfpenny form and has been subsequently chipped.
