A contemporary forgery of a cut halfpenny of Henry III or Edward I. This is a copper-alloy forgery of the silver voided long-cross cut halfpenny, genuine issues of which date from 1247 to 1279. Wren (1993: 68-69) suggests that such coins were made in Continental Europe, particularly in Westphalia (modern day Germany). The surfaces are corroded in places. It measures 18.3mm in diameter, 0.8mm thick and weighs 0.59g.

The reverse has [...] ON NIC [...] in the legend indicating the mint is Lincoln. Insufficient of the coin and its detail remains to be more definitive on identification. The coin measures 19.05 mm in diam, 0.65 mm thick, and weighs 0.70 grams.

A worn Medieval silver short cross cut halfpenny possibly of King John (1199-1216 AD). From the obverse legend only the RICU of [HEN]RICU[S] can be made out. The reverse has CANT in the legend indicating the mint is Canterbury, but nothing can be seen to indicate the moneyer. Insufficient of the coin and its detail remains to be more definitive on identification. The coin measures 19.54 mm diam, 0.71 mm thick, and weighs 0.60 grams.

A Medieval silver short cross cut halfpenny of Henry II to Henry III (1154-1272), 1180-1247. Minted at London. Obv. hENRICV[ ]; Crowned bust facing with sceptre. Rev. .ON.LVND; Voided short cross dividing the inscription with a quatrefoil in each quadrant. The coin was bent through 180° when found, but later straightened.
