A silver cut half short cross penny of John (1199 – 1216 AD), class 5 a-c (c. 1205 – 1218 AD) minted by Gifrei at Norwich. The coin is 17.71mm long, 7.9mm wide, 0.8mm thick and weighs 0.57g. This coin was found very close to a folded piece of lead with the imprint of a semicircle within the fold (related find SWYOR-6FBCB0) and it is believed that the coin may have been folded within the lead when lost.

Medieval coin: A silver long cross cut halfpenny, probably minted by Huge at Norwich, who was working there between AD 1247 and 1250. Huge's name thus indicates that the coin was minted under the reign of Henry III (1216-1272), and allows it to be tentatively classified as a Class 2 or 3 long cross). Obverse: [HEN]RICUS R[??] Reverse: [HUG]E ON/NO[R] Class 2 / 3 Diameter 17.9mm Thickness:0.6mm Mass: 0.5g.

A silver cut halfpenny of voided short-cross type. The crude execution of the bust, along with the misspelling of 'Henricus', indicate that this is probably a Class 4 coin; the moneyer is Willelm or variant; the mint is unclear, but the final two letters are probably 'WI'. Overall, the evidence points to this being a Class 4a-4b coin of Richard I or John, minted by Willelm at Norwich. The coin is worn in places. It measures 17mm in diameter, 0.3mm thick and weighs 0.44g.

A cut silver short cross halfpenny of King John (AD 1199-1216). The coin is worn around the egdes making it hard to read the inscriptions on either face. Mint may start NO - possibly Norwich if this reading is correct. Possibly North Class 5a.1 as the hair curls are short and have no pellets.
