A silver Medieval long-cross (AD1247-1279) cut-halfpenny of Henry III, (AD1216-1272), dating to AD1249. Probably class 3b. Mint is Northampton.
Obverse shows a forward facing crowned bust. Obverse legend reads: *hENRIC[...]I' . Legend starts at 12 o'clock and 'N R' are ligated. Reverse shows a long-cross with three pellets per quarter. Reverse legend reads: [...]/[..O]/NN/ORh/, the 'O R' ligated. Mint is Northampton (class IIa-IIIc). Die axis is 12 o'clock. Weight is 0.67g, diameter is 17.0mm, thickness is 0.6mm.
