A cut half silver penny of Henry III (1216 - 1272), Voided long cross Class II (1247 - 1272). Only a fragment of the X of Rex can be seen, but it suggests that the coin is Class IIa rather than IIb. Probably minted in Northampton. North number 985.

A silver medieval coin; a cut half penny of Henry III (1216 – 1272), voided long cross (1247 – 1272), class 2 or 3a (1248 – 1250). The coin was minted by Phillip, probably at Northampton. The coin is 17.7mm long, 9.2mm wide and 0.6mm thick. It is fairly worn. It weighs 0.6g. For reference see North number 985 – 986.
