A silver medieval cut halfpenny of Henry II (1154-1189), 'Cross and Crosslets' (Tealby) type (1158-80), not further defined (North 952-961). Mint and moneyer unknown owing to condition of coin. Ref: North 1994: 216-7. The coin is worn and damaged, with approximately a third of the halfpennny missing at one end. Only parts of the design in the central field is visible at all. The inscriiption are illegible on both sides of the coin.
