A silver hammered coin dating from the Medieval period: a cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-1272) struck by Nicole at London, Canterbury, Shrewsbury or Winchester, 1248-1251. Class 3-4a, North 986-989. The large recumbent crescent after the III can be indicative of Class 4a, however, the R is wedge-footed which makes class 3 more likely. Initial mark six-pointed star. The coin has a diameter of 16.68mm, a cut width of 8.19mm, and a thickness (it is slightly bent) of 0.83mm. It weighs 0.55g.

The coin has a diameter of 17.68mm, a thickness of 0.6mm, and weighs 0.59g. Obverse: bust facing forward, no sceptre, [hENR]ICVS REX [III]. Reverse: voided long cross with three pellets in each quadrant, WAL[TER ON B]RVS (AL ligated). Compare also Spink (2018) no. 1363, p. 169.
