A cut half hammered silver short cross penny. Although half the coin is missing and what remains is very worn the reverse inscription narrows down the possibilities. It is probably a Class 5b of King John struck by Iohan at King's Lynn. Alternatively it could potentially be either a Class 1 of Henry II struck by Alein at London or a Class 2 of Richard struck by Ioan at Lichfield, but what survives of the obverse portrait doesn't fit these 2 as well.
