The reverse legend reads DAV/I O[N.../.../...]. The reverse shows a voided long cross with three pellets per quarter. No single pellet is visible at the centre of the voided cross but if one was present this might have been obscured from view by the double strike and/or the coin being cut in half over this centre point. A Medieval silver voided long cross cut half-penny (AD 1247-1279), Irish issue, probably of Henry III, AD 1216-1272, dating from between AD1247-1254. Mint is Dublin.
Obverse legend reads [.../...]S RE/X[...]. 'REX' is possibly followed by 'ANG' or 'III' lower end of lettering just visible but illegible. Obverse shows forward facing crowned bust, and hand holding sceptre, within a triangle. Reverse legend reads DAV/[I ON/ DIV]ELI. Reverse shows a voided long cross with three pellets per quarter. Die axis is 3 o'clock. Weight is 0.63g, diameter is 18.2mm, thickness 0.8mm.
