Incomplete silver cut halfpenny of Edward the Confessor (1042-66), PACX type (North 813) dating to 1042-4; mint missing and moneyer uncertain. Ref: North 1994: 179. About a quarter of a whole coin survives, with one edge cut neatly along the voided cross on the reverse, and the other edge more untidy, fracturing along one arm of the voided cross and its crescent terminal. Diameter 8.18mm, thickness 0.67mm, weight 0.22g.
