A silver Scottish Medieval coin; a cut half penny of the Short cross and stars coinage of Alexander II, Short cross phase D, dating from AD 1235 - 1249. Bust type uncertain. Mint of Roxburgh. Spink (2003) number 5035 - 5038, page 15. The coin is 16.6mm long, 7.8mm wide, 0.6mm thick and weighs 0.57g. Th finder reports that the moneyer is Pieres, and the coin is obverse 5, reverse 8 according to an article in British Numismatic Journal 2020.
