A silver cut or snapped short cross halfpenny, probably of John (AD 1189-1216), struck in Bury St. Edmonds. Moneyer unknown. Although it is likely that this is a coin of John (Class 6c2, N976) dating from AD 1216-1217, it is possible that it may be of his successor, Henry III (1216-1272), Class 6c3 and dating to AD 1217.
