A medieval silver cut halfpenny of an uncertain ruler, probably a long cross type of Henry III (1216-1272) or Edward (1272-1307) dating 1247-1279, Class uncertain, mint and moneyer unclear.
The coin is very worn with virtually no features remaining. The obverse possibly shows part of a bust (the crown?) and the letters hE, the reverse parts of a long, voided cross the inscription entirely illegible.
It is possible that the reverse cross is a short voided cross (dating 1180-1247), and the design in the may be a cross pommee rather than pellets which would fit with this attributi…
