A very worn, silver Medieval cut halfpenny, dating from the reigns of John (AD 1199-1216) or Henry III (AD 1216-1272). The coin has been cut from around half past eleven to half past five on the obverse. The hair of the bust features a pellet enclosed within a crescent shaped curl and the crown has five pearls, both of which would mean that this is likely Class 5 onwards (AD 1204-1247). Minted in London by an unknown moneyer.
