A silver cut halfpenny of John (AD 1199 to AD 1216) dating to the period AD 1204 to 1209. North Number 968/4.
The obverse depicts a forward facing, crowned bust. The legend reads ...NRICVS.. The reverse depicts a voided short cross with a quatrefoil in each angle. The legend reads RAVF O... with a pellet between the words. Probably minted at Lincoln.
